GBrowse
GBrowse is an open-source, genome annotation viewer. We have made use of GBrowse
as a way for CBRG account holders to display genome scale annotations as interactive web pages for in-house sequencing or annotation projects.
These databases can be made publicly accessible (in which case they will appear as a link from this page) or can be made
password-protected for internal use only. The latter could be more appropriate if the project is in its
early stages or if the database contains sensitive/unpublished data.
Human HG18 GBrowse database:
This database is based on human build HG18 (March 2006: NCBI Build 36.1). It brings together published data from a variety of sources and allows the comparison of genome-wide
information concerning for example, histone methylation, histone acetylation and global run-on sequencing.
coli demo GBrowse database:
This demonstration database contains gene annotations from a 10kb region of the E. coli chromosome, as well as dummy data used to illustrate various glyphs.
Links to the conf file and the data files have been provided within the GBrowse database.
Neisseria - Comparative genome databases:
These databases contain annotations and data constructed by members of the Saunders
group located in the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology.
Comparative genome analyses - Snyder and Saunders (BMC Genomics 2006, 7:128.)
FNR and NarQ-NarP - Whitehead et al
(BMC
Genomics 2007 8: 35).
NarPQ - Overton et al (J.
Biol. Chem., 281, 33115-33126, 2006)
marR - this data is background information for: "Neisserial MarR: A pathogen-specific
regulator with species-specific regulatory activities." - Nichols et al (in preparation).
