ANALOG Overview

ANALOG, the bioinformatics analysis log, will record the results of bioinformatics analyses carried out on the CBRG web site.

Using ANALOG you can retrieve the output of any analysis program that you have previously generated. Any input data used to generate the program output (for example, sequence data) as well as all parameters used in the analysis are also available via ANALOG.

Users can organise previously run analyses using folders. These are easily created and named, and may be used to store groups of related analyses or to mark analyses for deletion (in the "trash" folder). Please use the above link to the manual to explore all of the functions available within ANALOG.

In common with the analysis tools themselves, access to ANALOG is by molbiol username / password only.

ANALOG currently stores data associated with the BLAST group of programs as well as the suite of programs in EMBOSS. These programs are available from the CBRG website at:

  - BLAST - Basic Sequence Alignment Search Tool.

  - EMBOSS - European Molecular Biology Open Software Suite.

If these help pages don’t answer any questions you may have about ANALOG, or if you would like further information, please email CBRG.
